Victory Speech

My fellow Americans,

The people across this nation have spoken, giving us a clear and resounding win. This is not only a personal victory, but a victory for the entire country, from San Francisco to my hometown of Durham. I am inspired by the work Americans did this election day–never before have I seen such an excitement for turning folks out to vote or being an activist for a cause of your choice.

We have inspired hope both across our country, and throughout the world. We intend to fulfill our promise to provide a better future for you and your families, and have been humbled with the confidence and trust that you have placed in us. Our message of unity has resonated greatly with the American people and we have every intention of keeping it. No longer will we have a country of red and blue states divided, but instead the United States of America.

My goal was and is to bring Americans together and govern in a way that promotes healthy and fulfilling lives for all. Americans deserve to live as we please, work for respectable wages, access the benefits of healthcare, and trust that our children will have a safe planet to grow in. This is what all Americans need. This is what all Americans deserve. Freedom unifies our nation and, during my time in the Oval Office, I will work tirelessly with Congress to advance these unifying freedoms for all.

It is a great honor that millions of Americans made the decision to get out and vote for the vision of Unity. The work that will go into making that vision become a reality starts now. I am proud to be your president elect, and together we will make great change in this country that we call home. Thank You.
